So I suppose I will privy the readers of this blog with a first look at the images I am considering putting into a book. The book’s/project’s title at the moment is Mistakes.
The reason it’s called Mistakes is because I have read quite a bit of Ron Carlson literature and the most impressing words he ever wrote were in the dedication page to one of his books.
Let me make my first mistake, I will tell you everything.
I have never been a very open person with what I think or feel or how I act, so I suppose the best way to understand those things about me is to look at how I live and what I produce. I want my personal work to speak volumes about the way that I have lived and the person I have come to be over this lifetime (as short as it has been so far). I am 23 at the time of this writing, a third of the way done with my natural commonly thought of lifespan. I have enjoyed it, I have regretted parts of it, and I have certainly made some mistakes. I guess I will start to share those mistakes with you… the anonymous readers of this little place on the Internet that I inhabit.
This project directly ties into my argument that I continually have with myself about how to present this work, my precious little entities that capture how I am, what I am care about and why I am here (supposedly). As of now, there is no text other than a title. Depending on how this project ends up forming and growing, there could be text. I have been writing text, so it might become text for this project of could just be text that exists in the vacuous space of the Internet or of the digital realm, bits and bytes residing on a hard drive, just like so many photographs of the world.
So what do you think?
